The BEST Facebook Ads Tutorial for Beginners 2025 (Full Guide) with Ben Heath

It may look like I am a bit obsessive with all the different learning channels I am checking out but each one gives a new insight and helps me to figure out my own path going forward.

This was a YouTube video that was over an hour in length – double that as I took notes. What I am excited about is that each instructor offers more videos and information so I am building a resource library for myself.

I of course don’t want to take on a client until I am sure I can do the best job possible for someone. Maybe by the end of next month starting in April I can start doing some pro-bono work for a few authors to solidify what I can do. Figure out what are my weak spots and fix those.

4 Insights from Best Facebook Ads Tutorial 2025

Most of this video was just solidifying what I have already learned though a few things that were new for me were:

  1. If you pick the “Leads” objective you have to agree to all the Meta Requirements like Privacy Policy, etc. for the place you are targeting your leads to. I am working an hour or two each day building my website so this is something I need to make sure I add. As well as make sure my clients have this in place.
  2. If using the “Traffic” objective such as sending prospects to an Amazon page – it’s best to go with “Manual Placement” and select only Feeds, Stories & Reels. Don’t allow “Audience Network” as this will not be the best use of ad spend.
  3. Creative adjustments can be made from the Ad Review page. Can click on an ad preview and make adjustments or replace the media creative right there.
  4. While a square image (1080×1080 pixel) is best for overall use, it is better to create media in separate format sizes that best fit the placement. Takes more work but will produce better results.

Next Steps

I went ahead and deleted my first Ad Campaign as I want more practice starting from the beginning. I spent about $35 for this learning experience which was basic “throw away money” though I did make two sales. Not enough to break even but at this point I am more interested in figuring out what in the heck I am doing.

If I was serious about an ad campaign I would simply tweak the campaign and allow the algorithm to get better. But until I am super comfortable with starting from scratch there will be more of this “practice work” going forward.

Every new campaign takes me one step further
